Today marks the launch of our new series: “Step by Step Towards Sustainability.”
What does this entail? In this series, we will provide regular updates on our diverse projects and initiatives, showcasing how we are steadily advancing towards becoming a more environmentally-friendly company. From minor initiatives to large-scale projects, we will share our progress, successes, and challenges with you.
Today, we’re highlighting our contribution to biodiversity: Our wildflower meadow & beehives.
A few weeks ago, we welcomed our new team members: the bees. In collaboration with a beekeeper from Saterland, we have established several bee colonies on our company premises. To ensure they thrive, we have created a supportive environment by planting wildflower meadows adjacent to their new habitats.
However, we must acknowledge that the new environment has not yet reached the level of beauty we initially envisioned. Nevertheless, we have captured images of some of the most striking flowers, and we are optimistic that the wildflower meadow will bloom even more beautifully in the coming year.
Some of our sustainability initiatives:
Our new team members work tirelessly to pollinate plants, contributing to biodiversity.
The meadow provides a home not only for bees but also for many other insect species, contributing to a healthy ecosystem.
We are continually committed to sustainable projects to minimize our ecological footprint.
With this initiative, we aim to create a vibrant and inspiring workplace for everyone.
A big thank you also goes out to our hardworking bees in the various departments at KURRE. Thank you for your continued dedication! Let’s work together towards a greener future !
