KURRE Group expands – closing a gap in the market

The KURRE Group has founded another company, KURRE-Kabelfertigungsmaschinen GmbH.

The KURRE Group has founded another company, KURRE-Kabelfertigungsmaschinen GmbH. KURRE-KFM is continuing part of the product range of the former KFM – Kabelmaschinenfabrik Müller GmbH and is thus attempting to close the resulting gap in the market. In order to secure the Know-How, former employees of Kabelmaschinenfabrik Müller GmbH were recruited.

As a result, the KURRE Group is expanding its product range in the field of machines for the cable and wire industry to include length measuring machines from the MW series, fully automatic ring winders, fully automatic drum winders, packaging systems, palletizing systems, spare parts service and service for these products.

In particular, the established product range of length measuring machines in the MW5, MW8 and MW10 series, which are approved in accordance with MID-009, are available exclusively from KURRE-KFM.

Korre-KFM’s first project was a rewinding system with floor-traversing gate winders for a plant in China KURRE-KFM’s first project was a rewinding system with floor-traversing gate winders for a plant in China. This rewinding system for coils from Ø 450 mm to 1600 mm and a weight of up to four tons is used for quality control of products from 3 mm – 60 mm diameter. Depending on the product diameter, the tensile force can be applied either with a dancer or with a drive torque. A dancer control can therefore be used for a product range up to approx. 15 mm in diameter. The products from 15 mm to 60 mm diameter are operated with torque control.

With the automatic fault repositioning function, the system can move detected faults back to a defined test position. At this point, the fault can be checked and assessed by the operator. If an error is incorrectly assessed by the operator, it is detected again by the system and repositioned.

For a precise winding pattern, the traversing traverse of the rewinder is equipped with a servo drive. A recipe and spool database is integrated into the system control for quick and easy operation. This makes it possible to load recipes externally and set up the system fully automatically. Another advantage is the simple operation and minimization of operating errors.
