Apprentice Meet-up: More than just expertise

Once a month, the Apprentice Meet-up takes place at KURRE – a great opportunity to impart valuable knowledge to young people that goes beyond the curriculum. The program includes practical topics such as “What insurance do I need?” or “How do I rent an apartment?” as well as internal matters like suggestions for improvements.

Especially gratifying is the support from our CEO, Stefan Plaggenborg.  At the last Apprentice Meet-up, he took the opportunity to personally guide the apprentices through the assembly hall. Currently, two complete extrusion lines are set up there – a sight that, thanks to the hall expansion, will likely become a common occurrence.

With enthusiasm, Stefan explained the operation of the various systems, what products are made with them, and how the individual machines work together.  From the function of an extruder to the necessity of cable cooling – his explanations captivated the apprentices.  It’s wonderful to see that, even after all these years, he is still fully passionate about it and transfers his enthusiasm to others.

After the positive feedback from both colleagues and the public, we are certain: The Apprentice Meet-up will continue!  And Stefan will likely be present again to report on current developments within the company.

We’re already looking forward to it!
