Emergency folders now available from the Seniors’ Advisory Council

The committee purchased 100 of these folders from the district with the help of a sponsor.

With the support of the Kurre group of companies in Ramsloh, the Saterland Seniors’ Advisory Council has now purchased 100 emergency folders for older people. This is the second edition of these folders, which the district of Cloppenburg compiled and published at the beginning of 2016. In the folder, senior citizens can compile important documents for relatives and doctors, such as their personal details, the medication they need and any living wills.

“It’s best to have the folder right next to the telephone,” explains Rosa Strohschnieder, spokesperson for the Saterland Seniors’ Advisory Council. In the event of a health emergency, when things are hectic, all the important data is ready to hand.

The folder is signal red, with emergency numbers inside the envelope. The folders are now available from all members of the Seniors’ Advisory Council. They will also be available at the town hall in Ramsloh during his next consultation on May 3. They are available at a price of 2 euros.

This is only possible thanks to the donation from Stefan Plaggenborg, Managing Director of Spezialmaschinenbau GmbH KURRE. He donated 500 euros to the Seniors’ Advisory Council, which used the money to order 100 folders. The donation was made via the municipality of Saterland because the Seniors’ Advisory Council is not an independent association that is allowed to accept donations. Saterland’s mayor Hubert Frye described it as “very commendable that the Kurre Group supports the commitment of the Senior Citizens’ Advisory Council”. This is not a matter of course, emphasized the mayor. “As a family business, we care about Saterland and its citizens,” said Mr. Plaggenborg.
