Compact shaft winder with spool lifting function for low space requirements

KURRE Spezialmaschinenbau GmbH has developed a compact schaft winder with bobbin lifting function and retractable loading carriage.

Production space is an important and cost-intensive factor for manufacturing companies. Compact and powerful systems with a small footprint are therefore required. In some cases, it’s not just about the footprint of the machines, but also about the space required to set up the systems.

KURRE Spezialmaschinenbau GmbH has therefore developed a compact shaft winder with bobbin lifting function and retractable loading carriage. The shaft winder shown here is available as an unwinder and a rewinder (photo) and can wind bobbins up to 630 mm in diameter with a maximum diameter of: 120 kg. The advantage of this machine is its small footprint. No external spool lift truck, which requires a lot of space for maneuvering, is required for loading and unloading. The heavy spools can simply be rolled onto the spool loading trolley by hand. The spool lift function moves the shaft to the height of the spool bore. The spool can then be easily picked up and fixed by manually inserting the spool loading trolley. For the winding process, the spool is lifted and the spool loading carriage can be pushed under the machine to save space. Depending on the application, the rewinder can be equipped with either a mechanical or an electrical installation.

The unwinder can optionally be equipped with a removal roller or, for very gentle product removal, with a removal swing arm. Thanks to its relatively wide range of coils and compact design, the system can be used for a wide variety of applications, e.g. in oven lines or as components in an extrusion line.
