Compact rewinding stands for maximum precision during testing and rewinding

KURRE Spezialmaschinenbau develops a compact rewinding stand to meet increasing demands on products and production space.

The increasing demands on product quality require efficient systems with the highest inspection quality and low product stress in the inspection process. At the same time, production space is playing an increasingly important role for cable and wire manufacturers. KURRE Spezialmaschinenbau GmbH has been developing machines and systems for the cable industry specially designed to meet customer requirements for over 35 years.

Due to the increasing demands on the products and a constant minimization of the production area, a compact rewinding stand was developed. The flexible design of the measuring device section and a compact design provide a wide range of options for testing processes. In order to reduce the space required, the measuring device section was placed on the housing between the winding points. The system consists of just one compact housing and can be transported in one piece. On the rewinding stand, spools with a diameter of up to 630 mm and a max. Weight of approx. 200 kg. In order to ensure low product stress during the testing process and to be able to process a wide range of products such as flat products or delicate products from the medical technology sector, the winding points have a traversing design.

The system winds with a tensile force range of 5-50 N, which is also realized by the product-friendly and low-friction, traversing traversing laying. Faults detected during the inspection process are automatically rewound to a defined position where they can be checked by the operator. In order to be able to produce bobbins ready for immediate sale with a high-precision laying pattern, the system is equipped with the laying computer already introduced by KURRE in 2014. The laying calculator enables automatic coil edge correction. This compensates for the winding of peaks and valleys caused by coil and product tolerances. With this laying system, winding on conical spools is also possible.

Of course, the systems can be equipped with different testing devices to suit customer requirements and can also be designed in different sizes for a different range of coils.
