A glimpse into our History: 45 years of success
Since our founding in 1979, we have established ourselves as a leading company in the manufacturing of specialized machinery for the wire and cable industry. Our journey began with a vision and a steadfast commitment to developing innovative solutions whilst guarantying the highest quality.
Milestones in Our History:
- 1979: Company founded by the Kurre family in Harkebrügge.
- 1981: Construction of the first facility at our current location in Ramsloh, Saterland.
- 1989 – 2007: Ongoing expansion of production and office buildings to meet increasing customer demand and support a growing workforce.
- 1997: Launch of the KURRE Precision Cutting Center, specializing in water jet and laser cutting technologies.
- 2009: Silke and Stefan Plaggenborg join the company, assuming full ownership of the KURRE Group in 2014.
- 2015: Integration of Kabelmaschinenfabrik Müller (KFM) into the company, now operating as KURRE-KFM.
- 2016: Consolidation of various divisions in machining and metalworking under KURRE Technologies (KUTEC).
- 2018: Acquisition of Siebe Engineering in Neustadt/Wied, expanding our workforce to 180 employees.
- 2020: Expansion to over 10,000 m² of production space, with a global customer base exceeding 500.
- 2023: Workforce grows to more than 250 employees.
- 2024: Further expansion of production and office facilities is in progress.
