Roller winding systems ensure space-saving and efficient operation
KURRE Spezialmaschinenbau GmbH has been developing and manufacturing machines and systems for the cable and wire industry for over 35 years. For years, the product range has also included the established and reliable roller winding systems, which are available in different versions depending on the application.
The roller winding systems are characterized by a very compact design and impress with their simple bobbin handling. The range of spools extends from min. 250mm spools up to 1250mm spools with a max. Weight up to approx. 1000kg.
In roller winding systems, the bobbins are driven by a roller on the outer flange of the bobbin. The spools can be operated at a speed of up to approx. 60 m/min. The unwinder is equipped with a dancer control to apply a defined and constant tensile force.
In addition to the unwinders and rewinders, the roller winding systems are also available as combined versions. In the combined systems, the unwinder and rewinder as well as the control cabinet are integrated in one housing. The combined systems are a very space-saving and efficient solution, especially when used on braiding machines. Other established areas of application for the various roll winding systems include stranding and heat treatment processes as well as tinning.
The roller winding systems can be designed with various options such as a bus system, an electrical installation and an EP converter, allowing the systems to be integrated into a braiding machine, for example. Thanks to the EP converter for electro-pneumatic tension adjustment and an electrically driven cable on the rewinder, the target values can be set via the bus system from the external system. This integration option ensures a lean operating structure and reliable operation.
