Covid-19 effects

Quickly implemented measures enable production to continue almost without a hitch.

In Germany, the impact of Covid-19 is lower compared to other European countries. Both in terms of the number of people infected and the number of deaths. One reason for this was the early lockdown.

The KURRE Group reacted quickly. Wherever possible, employees worked from home. In addition, a teaching building was converted into a second office complex within days in order to minimize direct contact between people.

In production, it was somewhat more difficult to equalize the situation. KURRE equipped its employees with simple face masks at short notice. “We are pleased that there has not been a single case of Covid-19 in our company,” says KURRE owner Stefan Plaggenborg (second from right), “but we are also seeing a reaction from the economy.” However, this has no significant impact on current production. KURRE can continue to employ all staff and is currently not on short-time working.

“Although there have also been project postponements and cancellations, there are orders in the mechanical engineering sector until well into next year,” continues Plaggenborg. But the flexibility at KURRE has cushioned these effects.
