Making periodic faults visible – with the improved FFT analysis
The new KURRE FFT software tool enables the simultaneous monitoring of two product parameters, such as strand and cable diameter, with regard to interference frequencies on the product during the production process. Product and system data are displayed as curves and set in relation to each other. This makes faults immediately visible.
The “zoom-in function” can be used to select an individual frequency band for which the product performance has been specified. In addition, a threshold value can be defined for critical heights of FFT peaks so that a warning is issued if this value is exceeded. In addition to FFT monitoring, it is also possible to compare a current FFT spectrum with a saved “reference good product spectrum”. This comparison makes it possible to monitor the performance and reliability of a production over days, months and years.
